Northern School of Contemporary Dance | | | About me | I will be entering my final year at the University of Surrey, in which i am studying on the BA hons Dance and Culture degree. I actively run a student endeavoured dance company at Uni called Actual Size, my role in the company is Artistic Director and performer.
I have a great passion for performing and teaching. Over the last 3 years i have taught in a variety of schools and colleges both in the South East of england and the East Midlands.
My main focus is in contemporary dance and have a particular interest in the work of Bedlam Dance and Random Dance Company. My personal dance style reflects the style generated by both dompanies mentioned above. I am dynamic, strong and a perfectionist at embodying specific movement qaulities.
Over the next year i will working on my dissertation, which will possibly be focusing on site specific investigation.
I have a inquisitive enthusiasm to all dance styles | | | Additional Skills | Aside contemporary dance i have also trained for two years in Kathak Dance, a module taught on the degree course at Surrey.
With operating a small scale dance company and doing a great deal of academic essays i have developed qualititive writing and administration skills including, advertising, marketing and letter writing. | | | Any other information | I am keen beliver in trying something new and will approach any type of art work with positive input.
I recently volunteered to be a dancer in a music video for a film student at Guildford College, to be made for a band called, Sunharbour. In addition i have also been in Birmingham based music video's for local bands. | |
